Senate Guard
Perhaps desperate measures might be called for. But - did he have enough men to imprison the whole senate, or make the whole senate disappear? He doubted it. Islam Demaxus had a coastguard and a police force, but these would probably stand neutral in any fight between president and senate. Heineman could call on some Gan-bred bruisers who would be happy enough to kill for him if the need arose, but every senator had similar such bodyguards. Furthermore, the senators took good care of the Senate Guard, which was the nearest thing to a proper army in all of Islam Demaxus.
