"The truth is, the powers of the sorcerers of Yestron are third-rate when compared to those of the wizards of Argan. Yestron's wonderworkers are capable of spectacular effects, but lack the fine nuances of control of which wizards are capable. Furthermore, sorcerers (unlike wizards) cannot create objects which in themselves possess powers magical or attributes uncanny" [VI p. 13-4].
